The Centre in partnership with an Irish based organization (Camara) carried out a 2-year School Computer project with the objective of providing I.T. equipment, knowledge and services to schools particularly public primary schools in 2006 / 2007. The focal point of the project was the Coast province
The main objective of supplying computers to schools was to facilitate easy teaching and learning process. The programme seeks to use computers as a tool to education and enhance effective and efficient implementation of school curriculum.

a)Terms and Conditions for Schools to receive computers
- A registered school with the Ministry of Education/ Municipal council
- Set up a well secured computer lab.
- Payment of required fees for clearance, registration, maintenance etc currently totaling to kshs. 2,800/= per computer.
- Not to resale the computers UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
- Restricting the use of the computers to educational purposes only.
- To accept ownership of the computers at the delivery Port and to arrange for customs clearance Transportation to final destination
- To notify MEWA by email or post if the:
- Computers are no longer needed
- Authorized contact person or contact details changes
- Other changes related to the delivery or use of the computers
- To respond to periodic computer evaluation surveys
- That the donation makes no warranty, expressed or implied, including warranty of quality and conditions of merchandise donated to your organization
- That at the end of their life, computers will be disposed off in an environmentally friendly manner.
- Recruitment and training of computer teacher(s) preferably at MEWA Computer Training Centre.
